Low intensity warfare, high stakes
Operation Swift Fox 23 is the recurring spring fight in the Central Grafsten Highlands, a long-disputed area between between Ardea and the Republic of Kitoy with the recent addition of insurgents from a neighboring country. You will be deployed as part of a unit of light infantry to find, fix and destroy (or displace) enemy forces in your area of operations.
This event will run continuously for 51 hours. We do not stop for night or poor weather. Make sure you are prepared for that.
Decide if you are Ardean or Kitoi Army, GDL insurgents or Kitoy Police, read the equipment lists and rules, and make your plans.
For this event:
- Sign up for multiple factions to assure better balance of forces. If you have multiple uniforms and weapons, we strongly encourage you to sign up for multiples, and if possible to bring all with you so we can re-shuffle based on last minute changes.
- There will likely be a "white cell" administrative or game control unit, to provide direction to playable factions from higher command, act as adjacent units, and perform other actions. If you have specific interest in this role or have a mobility or other medical issue that would prevent attendance otherwise, this may provide a way for you to participate in the event in a different way.
Planned factions and units:
- Ardea in Woodland uniforms, with battle rifles. Read more in the equipment requirements.
- Kitoy in Multicam or OD Green uniforms, with M4 and M16 rifles. Read more in the equipment requirements.
- Federal Police associated to one of the nation states will deploy a handful of officers in a marked vehicle to act as local guides for their Army, to add their own intelligence sources, and perform other missions and tasks. You should have previous real world law enforcement experience for this role, so contact us to discuss further and if approved we will give you a link to register and details on uniform and equipment.
- The GDL, Grupo de Liberare is a guerilla group from a neighboring country, abusing international law to operate safe havens and smuggle items through the disputed region where these armies fight. Most equipment and rules are the same, but they will vary from the Ardean or Kitoy forces in organization, uniform, weapons, and tactics so read up on them.
Activities:
Though who gets to do which task will not be revealed until quite close to the event, so we cannot guarantee any of these happen at all, nor can guarantee you get assigned to any of them.
- A vehicle-deployed quick reaction force, which will not enter the field for at least 1 hour after the rest of the players, and will have zero pre-staged equipment. Everything comes with you and must be set up.
- Scouts, likely with or as the police, to lead or guide other soldiers.
- A fixed outpost, whose job is to control a piece of land, road, or boundary, and nothing else.

Event Logistics
- The event takes place from Friday 21 April to Sunday 23 April, 2023
- Registration is from 0700 - 0800 on Friday. You must be there by 8 am to assure all paperwork and equipment checks are completed in time.
- Start time is 0900. You will get on trucks and deploy right at 9.
- You may only enter (or leave) the field at the planned times or by other arrangement, for safety and accountability. If late for the start, or you become ill, injured or aware of a crisis you must deal with to leave early, contact staff and we'll arrange for exceptions.
- Combat activities end at 1200 (noon) on Sunday followed by:
- Policing gear and cleanup of battle and bivouac sites
- A brief AAR for each side
- Transport back to the assembly area
- Equipment turn-in and personell accountability
- Photo time with the group, briefly
- Dismissal of participants
The location is D-Day Adventure Park in Wyandotte, OK. Numerous scheduled flights go into the airports in Kansas City (3 hours away) and Tulsa (90 min). The small airport in Joplin, MO (45 min) is serviced by United with daily flights from Dallas, Denver, and Chicago. You will be given driving directions and a map a few weeks before the event. Carpooling including shuttling from the airports is possible, common, and encouraged.
Payment, Terms
- The total event fee is $135.
- All payments must be received by noon on 1 April 2023.
- All payments are for this event are final and not-refundable.
- This event has limited participation: Only 25 each of Ardea, Kitoy or GDL, and 2 Police per side, are permitted. After that, registration will be closed for that faction and no more sign ups are permitted. If there are dropouts with sufficient notice, we may open a few slots for late registration to fill the TOO.
- If you have signed up but cannot attend, payments are transferable to other attendees with advance notice, but may not be applied to other CWG events.

The GDL has some equipment and rules changes which you should read. These are variations only, so see the general equipment requirements list is a good guide you should read through.
National Police will be given a set off variations on uniform, weapon, identification and other equipment, but again can be expected to have almost all of the basic equipment requirements as well.
